Paper comic style Dalek pt2 by gfoyle Paper comic style Dalek pt2 by gfoyle
I wanted to make a give away paper model version of the style of Dalek seen in the Gerry Haylock drawn Doctor Who comic strips of the mid 1970s, as seen in Countdown/TV Action comic. Gerry's artwork is beautifully stylised, clean and very dynamic - he made the Dr Who strips of that time a joy to read. The old forgotten comic strips are serialised on my blog:

NOTE: TO BUILD THIS MODEL, DOWNLOAD THE FULL SIZE ART WORK FOR BOTH PAGES AND PRINT IT OUT.

Although I've prototyped the parts as I've gone along (to get the shapes in the drawings right) I've not actually made this model yet, so if anyone does make it, I'd love to see your photos of it!

I have one comment.
The rear panel should have two columns of bumps, not just the one. other than that the model is great and accurate.

Your paper creations are the best, I'm having so much fun with them :D This guy took me like an hour to make, all those spikes!! UGH. Here's what it looks like, though it's actually much crappier in real life, because I just just regular computer paper and I’m challenged in the scissors and glue department…
